Raising the standard for automatic meter reading

Jekyll Electronic Technology is driving down the cost of automatic meter reading (AMR) by launching the new economical Telemodem 2 Standard. This affordable, industrial grade modem allows the interrogation of remote meters where host power is available. Companies can use the Telemodem 2 Standard to monitor energy usage on a routine basis.

It is easy to install on existing telephone lines and small enough to fit inside a meter or data logger and operate from a mains power source.

Other features include reliable data transfer up to 2400bit/s, remote diagnostics for routine maintenance online, an industry standard 25-way D dataport connector, and compliance with European CTR/21 standards.

The entry-level Standard compliments other models in the Telemodem 2 range including the line powered Freedom, the rugged Endurance, the intrinsically safe Custom, and the new PowerWatch with built in power failure warning system.
