VGA extenders are ideal for signage applications

SY Electronics has launched a range of Cat5/6 KVM, VGA and distribution extenders. They are ideal for digital signage applications, producing high quality VGA output over Cat5/6 UTP cable

SY Electronics has launched a range of Cat5/6 KVM, VGA and distribution extenders. These VGA extender products are ideal for digital signage applications, producing high quality VGA output over Cat5/6 UTP cable at competitive prices. At Gitex 2005 this new range of Cat5/6 KVM, VGA extender products will be on display on the company's stand in Hall 1 (B1-67).
These products are already installed as part of many public information display systems, outputting high quality VGA up to 300m.

There is also a specialist product for use with touch screens that use a serial interface.

Many digital signage applications require a single VGA output to be distributed to multiple displays.

This is easily achieved by using the distribution system developed by SY Electronics.

Using two, four- or eight-port transmitters, up to 24 displays can be supplied from a single VGA source.

SY Electronics has also developed a skew correction system.

XSQ Technology eliminates the effect of transmitting VGA signals over longer distances, especially when using Cat6 cable.

This technology is also available as a stand-alone unit that can be used with any brand of Cat5/6 VGA extender system.

Common applications include flight information displays at airports, retail shopping malls, public buildings and education establishments.

Many customers report this range is easy to install, reliable and because all the units are compatible, installations can easily be modified or expanded at minimal cost.

The units are compatible with CRT, TFT, LCD and plasma displays and output up to 1600 x 1200, at 72Hz, at the maximum distance.

Higher resolutions are possible at shorter distances.
