Duplicator boosts digital video transmissionKane Computing has a novel CameraLink duplicator which creates a second slave stream to allow transfer of digital video to a second target host. The CameraLink duplicator offers a master stream for full bidirectional CameraLink communications and a slave stream to provide separate video display and processing or to allow two computers to process the video data independently and concurrently. The duplicator can also be used as a repeater to double the permitted distance between video source and host. The unit accepts a CameraLink base configuration video signal (maximum 24bit data). FVAL, LVAL, DVAL and strobe are all available, and the master stream supports one full duplex serial communications channel and four camera control signals. For extending CameraLink over longer distances Kane Computing offers OpticLink, which uses fibre optics to extend the range up to 4km. |
