Board is enhanced for demanding applications

The Commell FS-97C is a PICMG 1.0 SBC featuring the latest Intel Centrino mobile technology 945GM Express chipset, which supports the Intel Core 2 Duo, Core Duo, Core Solo and Intel Celeron M processors. The board is enhanced to handle today's demanding software applications - such as graphics-intensive games or serious number-crunching programs. The FS-97C SBC supports a 667MHz front side bus, providing up to 25% increase in front side bus bandwidth over the previous generation and support for up to 3Gbyte of dual-channel DDR2 667MHz memory.

Integrated 256bit graphic core running at 400MHz and DirectX 9 3D hardware acceleration, based on the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 (Intel GMA 950) architecture, delivers a 2x improvement in graphics performance over the previous generation chipset.

The integrated display controller comes with up to 2048 x 1536 resolution for both analogue and digital displays, and supports multiple display types (LVDS, DVI, CRT etc).

The FS-97C comes with floppy, PS/2 keyboard and mouse, RS232C, RS/232/422/485 and UltraATA 100 EIDE interfaces.

The integrated Serial ATA host controller supports two ports with data transfers up to 150Mbyte/s.

Networking is provided by two Intel 82573L PCI-Express 10/100/1000Mbit/s LAN interfaces; four USB 2.0 ports and AC97 3D audio are also integrated.

Two Mini PCI slots are provided, and the FS-97C is also equipped with a CompactFlash interface for memory cards.
