3mm fibre designed to enhance network planning

When it comes to network flexibility and scale, is not always possible to predict the future - but you can plan for it effectively, with the new Blolite+ air blown fibre solution from Brand-Rex. Blolite+ ultilises a microduct network to enhance potential future network expansion, whilst meeting the needs of today. The 3mm microducts are ideal for use in structured cabling backbones, datacentres, LANs, SANs and short run fibre to the home (FTTH) installations.

Blolite+ introduces a new 3mm microduct solution, offering enhanced efficiency, reduced size and weight, increased flexibility, and most importantly decreased lifetime cost.

The 3mm solution system offers users 1, 4, 7 and 19 way protected microduct constructions, with the ability to blow 300m with up to four fibres through each tube.

Research confirms that more than 80% of structured cabling backbones are under 300m in length and utilise 4, 8 or 12 fibres.

With the Brand-Rex Blolite+ system, the user pays for only the microduct infrastructure and initial fibre on day one.

Additional fibre can be added and upgraded with minimum disruption.

Blolite+ also adds enhanced flexibility to the network.

The installation of specific fibre types for different applications is a simple process at any time.

If a section becomes damaged, the system is easily repaired by replacing just the damaged section and blowing in new fibre, thus minimising downtime and disruption to the network.

Blolite+ is the latest development from Brand-Rex whose experience of air blown fibre systems spans back almost 25 years when the pioneering Blolite system was launched.

The Blolite+ system will continue to evolve, and Brand-Rex advise that new products will be added to the range early in 2007.
